Bells, whistles, quiet calamity

-Given the time in darkened courses
on a blanket of lushest green grass
The crisp chilled stars above us
by streets with cars continually pass
You offer me a smile,
proposition to lay under these trees.
Peace,
amongst the chaos of the night
in a much awakened city.
Intrigued as I most certainly am
without a single care to refuse
I put my back to this green green grass
and the world above me becomes my muse.

Not much noise to serenade
‘cept the melody of the night
a lovely shadow silhouette
Our eyes adjust the light.
Promised rain unfortunately ceases
but the night breeze rages on.
Warm whispers to my ear
Reassuring that you’ve got me
but I know I’m so far gone.
Cause every sensory has come to life
With a rhythmic little tingle
every second of my skin
yearning, awaits for yours to mingle.
Cheers to the waltzing masquerade
and to the tambourines that rang
A thoughtful sigh forĀ grass imprintsĀ  we lie
A smile, the life tasting of lemon meringue.
